Meet our Team

Hailey Burks, RN – BSN
Sonography Nurse

Hi! I’m Hailey, and I began volunteering at Vine Medical while I was a nursing student at George Fox University. After graduation, I was hired and completed my on boarding and ultrasound sonography training. When you come to Vine, I will be running your pregnancy test and performing your confirmation ultrasound scan.
I’m so excited to meet you! I love working at Vine Medical and enjoy getting to know my patients’ story and walk alongside them right where they are. But the highlight of my day is time with my husband and son! We love being outside, saying hi to our goats, and frequenting our local coffee shops.
I had the opportunity to visit Europe with my husband when he was getting his masters degree, and my favorite memory is walking past castles and the most beautiful flower gardens on the daily.

Scotty Dolence
Executive Director

Hi. I’m Scotty and serve as the Executive Director at Vine. I grew up here in Yamhill County and graduated from Mac High and Linfield University. After attending graduate schools in Oklahoma and Ohio, I returned to the PNW with my husband Chuck and we raised 4 delightful daughters.
I began volunteering here when my girls were young and joined the staff in 2018. Every patient who comes into Vine is provided the same care I would want my daughters to have. We enjoy our patients and one another, and I love serving here. I have an amazing team and we are looking forward to welcoming you into our clinic as a patient. In my free time I love hanging out with my girls and my 9 grandkids who are all local and call me “Grammy.”

Dr. Brian Mahon
Medical Director – Radiologist

Hi, I’m Dr. Mahon. I was raised on the East Coast, and eventually found my way to Portland for post-residency training at the Dotter Institute at OHSU.
My wife and I now live on a small farm outside of Carlton with our three “youngish” kids. Life is full of chores, sports practices, and the beautiful chaos of raising a family—but it’s a joy.
It’s an incredible honor to work alongside a team that pours so much heart and purpose into what they do. Vine is more than just a clinic—it’s a light in the darkness, a place of hope and healing in a world that deeply needs it. I’m grateful every day to be a part of it.
As the Medical Director and Radiologist for Vine, I support the team by reading ultrasounds and offering clinical guidance as needed. It’s a privilege to play a role in helping women feel seen, cared for, and supported—whether they’re navigating uncertainty or simply seeking clarity and reassurance.

Megann Cox
Administrative Assistant

Hi, I’m Megann, and I’m passionate about serving moms here at Vine. After spending four months in Uganda working with children with special needs, I returned home uncertain about my next steps. During this time, I began volunteering at Vine and quickly saw how the clinic’s care, compassion, and support made a profound impact on women making pregnancy decisions.
After nearly two years of volunteering, I’m excited to join the staff at Vine Medical as the Administrative Assistant. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role and make a difference in the lives of those who come to Vine.
When you come to Vine, I am the first person who will work with you to get your intake paperwork started. I also enjoy providing each patient and their support person with a thank you gift as they leave our clinic.

Cindy Bristow
Clinic Support Volunteer

Hi, I’m Cindy! I truly love serving in whatever way is needed. On any given day, you might find me answering phones, scheduling appointments, welcoming patients with intake paperwork, or helping keep the clinic clean and organized. I also help track material donation items and work to keep the pregnancy loss garden beautiful. One of the most meaningful parts of my role is being available to pray for and support patients during their time here. It’s a blessing to be part of a team that shows love and care in both big and small ways.
In my free time, I love spending time with my grandkids, playing pickle ball with friends and family, sewing and crafting, and enjoying the great outdoors through biking, hiking, and camping.

Julie Dyck
Material Service Coordinator
Read More
Hi, I’m Julie! I have the joy of helping patients who come in to pick up baby items, making sure they feel supported and cared for. I also manage donations—sorting through what comes in, deciding what we can accept (all new items), and creating welcoming displays. To help keep things organized, I track larger items with photos and maintain a book of what’s available, and I also put together Vine’s Amazon Patient Wishlist to make it easy for others to give.
I schedule item pickup appointments and love being part of this process from start to finish. Volunteering at Vine has been a special way to give back to the community that meant so much to my kids as they were growing up. I also serve at the clothing closet at Yamhill Christian Church, and in my free time, I enjoy golfing and riding my bike outdoors!

Frequently Asked Questions
Click the question to learn more:
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, appointments make sure that we can give you the time, attention, and support you deserve. We may be able to schedule same-day appointments. We set aside 45 to 90 minutes for each patient appointment to fully serve your individual needs.
How much will my appointment cost?
All our services are completely cost-free. You will never be charged for any services provided by Vine Medical. We are able to serve you thanks to the generosity of our donors.
Does Vine Medical require medical insurance?
No, since we are able to offer our services at no cost, our patients do not need medical insurance to receive care.
What if I have medical insurance and access to OB care?
Everyone is welcome at Vine Medical. No matter your insurance or financial status, we are excited to serve you.
I saw two lines on my pregnancy test and I’m feeling overwhelmed. Can I speak with someone right away?
Absolutely, we appreciate hearing from patients who have just taken a pregnancy test and are thinking about possible next steps. You can call us anytime and leave a confidential voicemail or you can reach out for an appointment from here. Messages are checked daily and we can text you back if you’d prefer a text conversation. Take a breath. You have time and you deserve to receive excellent care as you process your decision. We are here for you.
Do you perform abortions or offer the abortion pill?
We offer specialized care to our patients who wish to become fully informed about abortion procedures. Our cost-free confirmation ultrasounds confirm viability and dating, an important first step in decision making. We do not provide or refer for chemical or surgical abortion.
What should I know before taking the Abortion Pill?
The ‘abortion pill’ is a two-pill regimen intended for use within a specific gestational period. We offer a no-cost confirmation ultrasound scan to determine gestational age and ensure the pregnancy is progressing and located in the uterus. This is essential for providing fully informed care as you consider your options. Two lines on a pregnancy test does not always mean a baby. If you’re considering abortion, we invite you to seek care at Vine. Our medical team will take the time to support you—because you are important to us.
Do you provide birth control?
We do not provide birth control or contraceptives at Vine. Our nurse can provide more detailed information and referrals at your appointment. It’s important that your individual needs and medical history are assessed by a doctor before choosing a birth control method.
Can I donate to Vine Medical?
All our services are provided cost-free to our patients, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Our patients are never charged for any of our services, and we never financially benefit from the decisions our patients make.
After completion of your care at Vine, if you’d like to become a donor, you may mail a check to P.O. Box 945, McMinnville, OR 97128 or visit our online giving portal, https://www.easytithe.com/vinemedical.
What Our Patients Are Saying
“I have been to vine medical for two pregnancies. One I miscarried in 2023, and one I am currently carrying. They are so incredibly supportive and kind. I got to see my little peanut for the first time yesterday. I chose to go to them because I knew they would handle me and my experiences with care. By far some of the most kind people I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know.”
Lela
“Hands down the best experience I have had when it comes to early pregnancy care. Walking in you are welcomed by Cindy who is seriously the sweetest and so welcoming. The intake process was very simple and personable which made me feel very comfortable. The nurses I met with Sarah and Lisa were incredible. They made me feel heard and that goes a very long way when you’re feeling a little stressed with a new pregnancy. After the intake, I was lucky enough to get a confirmation ultrasound where I got to hear the heartbeat which relieved so much stress. We are so thankful for this clinic and its staff.”
Andrea
“Vine has been nothing but amazing! I have had so many bad experiences at the hospital, and Vine made me feel so safe and heard! It such a blessing to be around a team who values life, and gets excited with you! They also have so many amazing courses you can take which gave me confidence for giving birth and all things baby. I wish everyone in the world could go to Vine!”
Lauren
